Our occupational therapists help clients focus on becoming more independent with their ability to perform tasks in the home. Our therapists develop individualized programs to help each client improve motor functions and reasoning skills, as well as helping them maintain their skills at their current level if they’ve suffered a permanent loss of function at some point.
Occupational therapists can help improve any number of skills including everything from eating and getting dressed to using a syringe and using a pill planner.
Our speech-language pathologists provide therapies for patients aimed at helping them improve speech, communication, swallowing, and even cognitive function. As clients get older, they encounter more and more speech issues, and our SLPs are able to differentiate between disorders caused by age or by other factors. With communication being so critical in the appropriate care of any client, SLPs play a huge role in facilitating that.
